Memory is showing as 32 GB instead of the expected 48 GB on SVM GUI.

Check the XenServer for the following o/p :

[root@netscaler-sdx ~]# xe host-list params=memory-total
memory-total ( RO)    : 32235051520

Additionally , check for the following o/p in the XenServer logs wherein we see the missing DIMMs(for e.g. 4 here , 4GB each, total 16GB) :
