Description

Delivery Controller is shutting down machines not part of the XenDesktop/XenApp Site.

In this scenario, the customer was using an unsupported Hypervisor: VMWare VCloud Director.

After checking the vmx file of the XenDesktop VM vs a VM not part of the Site, the UUID's were identical.

Resolution

The Duplicate UUID's are a known issue with VCloud Director
  • VMWare KB Article:  https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2002506

Problem Cause

Hypervisor is assigning multiple machines duplicate UUID's. This is causing the DDC to find machines with the same UUID from the XenDesktop/ XenApp Site and shutting down machines in the VMWare VCloud environment which are not in any of the XenDesktop Sites. (VMWare VCloud is not supported)
