Description
XenServer hangs on reboot with following message in serial logs
Sending all processes the TERM signal... Sending all processes the KILL signal... Saving random seed: Syncing hardware clock to system time Turning off swap: Unmounting pipe file systems: Unmounting file systems: Please stand by while rebooting the system...
Resolution
1. Switch to the Xen console (by pressing Ctrl-a three times on the serial console) and then press 'R' (capital R) to force an immediate reboot.
- This is mostly likely due to an old firmware running. Make sure the firmware on the machine is updated
