Description
The affected VPX is part of an HA pair and is in standby mode. VPX VM state is “Running”; instance state is “Out of service”.
The VPX instance has a different Admin Profile from the others on this NetScaler SDX, but when we try to change Admin Profile we get the error “Failed to add/set system user”.
Resolution
Out of service due to auth error.
- Check if SVM has the updated credentials so that it can login to the VPX.
- Revert custom password on the VPX.
- Set system user nsroot nsroot.
- Then bind ns_admin profile to VPX on SVM.
- Once the status is up, change the admin profile to the custom admin profile as per the requirement.
Note: Please check the instance communication (System-->Change System Settings). If the NetScaler communication is on HTTP and if only secure access is enable it will still show as "Yellow" color.
