Dell WYSE thin clients fail two-factor authentication when:

  • Running [Dell] firmware 2.1.x or newer.
  • NetScaler Gateway is running firmware version 11.0 or newer.
  • Dell CCM (Cloud Client Manager) portal is used for thin clients to retrieve .INI config file and OS images.

Resolution

Possible Workarounds:

  • Downgrade Dell WYSE thin clients to firmware 2.0 (this firmware is compatible with NetScaler firmware 10.1 but not 11.0).

  • Use locally hosted FTP server (instead of CCM) for thin clients to retrieve .INI config file and OS images.
