This article describes how to configure email alerts on Command Center.


Instructions

Complete the following steps to configure email alerts on Command Center:

  1. Log on to Command Center.

  2. Go to SNMP > Alarms > Triggers.

  3. Click Add and enter the following details:
    a) Provide the name of the filter 
    b) Status : enable
    c) Device type : add NetScaler or NetScaler Gateway or some other product accordingly.
    d) Choose the severity 
    e) Under devices, you can provide multiple devices at the same time. 
    f) Categories: you can choose any number of categories for which you need the alert email to be generated. For example - Entitydown, EntityUp, change to primary and so on.
    g) Failure objects : under this section, you can specify the objects/entity.

    Please find the example below where the Failure object is configured as power supply failure in the screen shot, based upon the requirement we can select different failure object from the list :

  4. Add action. Under action:
    a) Provide the action type, like send email action.
    b) Action Name : specify the name.
    c)  Specify the from and to email address. Use comma to separate the multiple email addresses.
    d) Specify the server name or IP address.
    e) Provide the subject of the email.

  5. You can also filter on the basis of event description. For example - ServicegroupMemberName :ProdEx201 owa? ,IpAddress:  10.1.1.1 ,port :80,state:down

       6. Once the category is configured the next step is to test the Email action triggered. We can test the action , if the action is                configured correctly we can see Test Notification Email message on the configured email.
