Description

Citrix is committed to ensuring compatibility with the latest updates for Adobe Flash. Adobe has released update 360 for Flash 18 on 16th June 2016. This article contains information about known issues of Adobe Flash 18.0.0.360 with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop in conjunction with the following listed Citrix products and known workarounds for respective issues:

  • Citrix Receiver for Windows version 4.4.0 & 4.4.1000

Note:
  • This is a live article, and is updated as and when the new information becomes available.

  • Our tests have indicated update 360 for Flash v18 (18.0.0.360 and above) to be incompatible with Flash Redirection feature of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop.

  • As on 1st July 2016, a Citrix solution has been made available to address the known issue and claim compatibility with update 360 for Flash v18.

  • For issues that do not have feasible workarounds, Citrix provides reasonable effort to supply hotfixes to address the issues.

Issue Description

Flash Redirection fails and the URL gets added to Dynamic Blacklist

Cause

Adobe released an update for a security vulnerability – for reference and more details visit APSB16-18. This issue has been identified in versions equal-to-and-later than listed in this bulletin.

Solution

Customers are recommended to upgrade to Citrix Receiver for Windows 4.4 Cumulative Update 1 Hotfix 2 (4.4.1002) or its replacement which contains the fix for above issue and makes update 360 Flash v18 compatible with Flash Redirection feature.
