The Director data can be easily accessed through Excel for reporting and data analysis purpose.

The report generated shows information on the following entries:
  • Catalogs

  • Connections

  • Connection Failure Categories

  • Connection Failure Logs

  • Desktop Groups

  • Failure Logs Summaries

  • Hypervisors

  • Load Indexes

  • Load Index Summaries

  • Machine Failure Logs

  • Machines

  • Session Activity Summaries

  • Sessions

  • Task Logs

  • Users


Instructions

The process to access this data varies based on the version of Excel being used.

Excel 2010

Complete the following procedure:
  1. Download and install PowerPivot for Microsoft Excel 2010 accepting all defaults during installation.

  2. Launch Excel.

  3. Go to PowerPivot tab, a new Excel window will popup.

  4. On the ribbon, click From Data Feeds.
    For Friendly Connection Name, enter your site or broker name.
    For Data feed url, enter http://{yourDeliveryControllerFQDN}/Citrix/Monitor/OData/v1/Data.

Excel 2013

Complete the following procedure:
  1. Go to File > Options > Add-Ins.

  2. In the Manage window, click COM Add-ins and then click Go.

  3. Check Microsoft Office Power Pivot in Microsoft Excel 2013, and then click OK.
    If you have other versions of Power Pivot add-in installed, those versions are also listed in the COM Add-ins list. Ensure to select the Power Pivot add-in for Excel 2013. The ribbon will now show a Power Pivot tab.

  4. Click Power Pivot.
    This is the tab where you work with Power Pivot PivotTables, calculated fields, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and create linked tables.

  5. Click Manage.

  6. Click From Data Service.

  7. Select From OData Data Feed.
    For Friendly Connection Name enter your site or broker name.
    For Data feed url, enter http://{yourDeliveryControllerFQDN}/Citrix/Monitor/OData/v1/Data.
