This article describes different methods to restrict the Secure Hub app removal from the enrolled device.
The following methods were tested in the lab and verified:
On Android, it is possible to restrict using the following two methods:
App removal restriction policy: Policies > Android > New Configurations > Samsung > App Uninstall Restriction.
Using these instructions, only Secure Hub will be restricted from removal.
App Lock policy: Policies > Android > New Configurations > General > App Lock.
Using these instructions, it is possible to restrict Secure Hub removal from Android phones. But the complete settings on the phone will be blocked. The user will not be able to make any more changes to the device.
On iOS devices, it is possible to restrict app removal through:
iOS > Configurations > New Configurations > Profiles and Settings > Restrictions.
In the Functionality tab, clear Allow removing apps.
Note: For this policy to work, iOS device should be in Supervised mode. Otherwise, it will not work.
It is also possible to create Automated action and do the same operation as shown in the following screen shot for iOS and Android devices.
