Resolution
• After the XDSW creates the VM, it performs some post processing which includes assigning a static MAC to the NICs and switching the NICs from the VDI VLAN to user's server VLAN. We found the reason for this switch was that when we originally added the host connection/hosts in XD, the hosts were not configured with the correct network (492) at the Hyper-V layer. After we discovered that the user missed the host network config, we had them add it, but XD does not pick up those changes and doesn’t let you edit networks after adding the connection. So to fix this issue we removed all hosts and re-added with only the 492 network that we needed.
• We also found that the XDSW does not work if multiple “resources” (hosts) are added under the same Connection (SCVMM) in studio. (At least we found this to be the case when using local storage and no H-V cluster.) To get around this, we just added each host under its own dedicated connection, even though all those connections were identical and all point back to the same SCVMM server.
