Description
When a user connects to the VDA as a new session after being logged off by idle and logoff timer policy, the position of icons and sticky notes is different from the previous session.
Environment
Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
Resolution
1. Change the following registry value on VDA machine.
2. Reboot VDA machine.
3. Launch a new session and verify.
Key: HKLM\Software\Citrix\PortICA\UxPersistence
Value name: PersistenceSettings
Type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0x3 (or 0x7)
Value name: PersistenceSettings
Type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0x3 (or 0x7)
2. Reboot VDA machine.
3. Launch a new session and verify.
