What is Citrix Secure Mail?
- Citrix Secure Mail lets users manage their email, calendars, and contacts on their mobile phones and tablets. To maintain continuity from Microsoft Outlook or IBM Notes accounts, Secure Mail syncs with Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Notes Traveler Server. Citrix Secure Mail Connection Modes
Two modes:
- STA Mode (best for battery life!):
- Requires a Citrix Gateway
- Does not consume additional Citrix Gateway Universal Licenses for mail sync.
- It uses ICA proxy/SOCKS type of connection.
- Non-STA mode:
- Allows end-users connect directly to Exchange Server (if externally available).
- If Citrix Gateway is available, end-users will connect via MicroVPN and must be Sign On (via Secure Hub) in order to sync mail.
- This method consumes Citrix Gateway Universal Licenses.
Note: Only ActiveSync protocol is currently supported.
