When using Citrix Receiver to connect to the NetScaler Gateway, StoreFront users get "Attach a smart card reader and insert your smart card to log on" however smart authentication is not configured.

Change the internal beacon on the StoreFront server by changing the base URL and make sure it either, does not resolve externally, or it is not listening on port 443 from external networks.

Problem Cause

Internal beacon is resolving from the outside on port 443, Receiver believes it is connecting from the inside and is trying to discover the store using the wrong path.
