Question:

Can I use XenCenter to manage/view/console access to XenServer on SDX?
Answer:
===
The use of XenCenter to monitor/console/etc to XenServer on SDX is not supported and changes made from XenCenter can cause the SVM to crash or abnormal issues. The SVM expects to be the only entity that can make changes to the XenServer and any changes outside of the SVM can cause serious problems, whose resolution can even require a factory reset of the entire SDX to recover from.
It can still be used for viewing purpose (using commands) but not for any configuration changes. Always use SVM to make any config changes for SDX appliance.
NOTE: Because the use of XenCenter is not supported on SDX, the Management IP on the XenServer is NOT configured during SDX install and if configured, is removed during upgrades. This is by design.
