To set up a time limit so that any session in a Disconnected state is logged off after a predetermined amount of time.


Instructions

1. Open Group Policy Management console on the Domain controller in the environment.
2. Create a Group Policy Object and link it to the Organizational Unit that the XenApp server is contained in.
3. In Group Policy Management Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Session Time Limits
4. Configure and enable the "Set time limit for disconnected sessions" policy setting.
5. On the XenApp server, open Command Prompt and run gpupdate.

All disconnected sessions on your XenApp server will now be logged off automatically after your configured amount of time.
