Initial release

Important Note(s)

  • This software update was originally released before March 18, 2016. Effective January 1, 2016, Microsoft deprecated the SHA-1 certificate Citrix used to code sign this update. This rerelease of the update uses the requisite replacement certificate. No other changes were made to the update. If you installed this update before the March 18, 2016 rerelease, there is no need for you to reinstall it.
  • This update replaces DesktopVDACoreWX64_7_6_304, which was causing issues when installed on Windows 10 Version 1511 (Build 10586.36).
  • This update is based on Version 7.6.300 of the VDA Core Services for Windows Desktop (64-bit).
  • This update can be applied to both Version 7.6.300 and Version 7.7 systems.
  • On machines running the Version 7.7 VDA, in Programs and Features > Installed Updates, this update appears as DesktopVDACoreWX64_7_6_305.
  • You can upgrade the VDA from a console session or from an RDP session. Upgrading from within an ICA session is not supported.
  • Caution! This release may require you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

Where to Find Documentation

This document describes the issue(s) resolved by this release and includes installation instructions. For additional product information, including supported operating systems and system requirements, see XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6 or XenApp and XenDesktop 7.7 on the Citrix Product Documentation site.

New Fixes in This Release
