Custom JavaScript application does not work when connecting through NetScaler Gateway Clientless Access.
Resolution
It is recommended to configure NetScaler load balancing feature for custom applications which require external access, rather than using the clientless access. You can also use full VPN in case you want to pass the application traffic through NetScaler.
NetScaler Gateway clientless access provides preconfigured policies for SharePoint 2007, Outlook Web Access, and Outlook Web App. Support for other Web applications depends on the level of rewrite policies you configure on NetScaler Gateway.
Anything apart from preconfigured policies may not work as expected, because for all request the NetScaler Gateway performs inbuilt rewrite functions. Since NetScaler only supports SharePoint2007, Outlook Web Access, and Outlook Web App, it is difficult to identify which built in rewrite rule might be affecting the requests in the case of the application in question.Citrix recommends testing any custom rewrite policies that you create to ensure that all components of the application rewrite successfully.
