Description
The customer uses Topaz digital signature pads in their EMR application, which is called Anasozi & is developed by a company called Cerner.
The signature pad works on the local client without any problems but for some reason when running Anasozi through XenApp 7.6 the device doesn’t work.
Created the “Deprecated” key in the registry of the XenApp server & enabled both the AutoConnectClientComPorts & AutoConnectClientLptPorts options in the registry but we still haven’t had any success of getting the signature pad to work within Citirx.
It gets recognized as a USB Serial device. Typically it is used on COM4 but it will work on any COM port that the Anasozi software is configured to use. The error is "Signature Pad functionality unavailable"

Resolution
http://docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenapp-and-xendesktop/7-5/cds-policies-wrapper-rho/cds-policies-rules-deprecated.html
Set AllowComPortRedirection to 1 (Allow)
Set AutoConnectClientComPorts 1 (Allow)
The client application that is being used by the customer is “buggy” & will only recognize the signature pad consistently if it is connected to COM1 or COM2 on the client workstation. There is no guarantee that the signature pad will be detected properly within the Cerner Anasazi EMR application if it is connected to any other COM port. Issue fixed after changing the com port on the client machine to com port 1 or 2.

Problem Cause
