Failure to launch desktop with Wyse thin client. Error "Name resolution failed" is displayed.

Resolution

Check if the VDA is powered on, IP address is obtained, and DNS name is found.

On certain occasions, the DNS name resolution takes few more seconds while the connection from broker to desktop service is made. Hence we see the name resolution error.

If the DNS is seen after few seconds, try re-launching the desktop.

If the DNS name is seen, but you are still seeing the issue only on thin clients (desktops and laptops ICA sessions are successful), then rebuild the system of thin client or engage the thin client vendor.
