Desktop Viewer is showing up even though it has been disabled through the web.config file.

Resolution

To disable Desktop Viewer:

  1. Log on to StoreFront Services server.

  2. Open C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\StoreWeb\web.config with Notepad.

  3. Change showDesktopViewer="false".

  4. Save the changes.

  5. Open C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\Store\AppData\Default.ica with Notepad

  6. Under [Application], add the property ConnectionBar=0.

Problem Cause

This is a default behavior.
