Resolution

NetScaler always uses port 139 for the Server Message Block (SMB). Currently this is a limitation in the NetScaler platform. To workaround this issue make sure port 139 is open on the back end firewall.

Problem Cause

Port 139 was not open on the firewall. NetScaler always uses the port 139 for SMB traffic.
