Description

On XenDesktop 5.6, when creating a Provisioned Virtual Machine (VM), it fails at provisioning with the following error: "Failed to create virtual machine, object has already been deleted or not completely created".

Resolution

Ensure that the following are functional:

  • Machine account is created in AD.

  • Service status on both DDC's.

  • Dbconnection strings.

  • Get-provtask find anyPending delete tasks hung.

  • Create new host connection and create a machine which works.

Complete the following steps:
  1. Create a new Host Connection.

  2. Move Existing Dedicated Catalog machines to New Existing Catalog.

  3. Remove XDProvisioned value from Annotation section of VMware machine.


Problem Cause

Provisioning Scheme to Hosting Unit ID association is corrupted.
