This article explains how to generate the support file for your SDX appliance as per request of the Citrix Technical Support team


Instructions

To generate support logs from NetScaler SDX, complete the following steps:

  1. Connect to the IP address of the SVM (SDX) management GUI.
  2. Click the "Configuration" tab

  1. Go to Diagnostics > Technical Support > Click Generate Technical Support File

  1. You will be given five options as follow:

  • Management Service - Contains only the SVM data
  • Management Service and XenServer - Contains the SVM and the Hypervisor data
  • Management Service (Including Instances) - Contains the SVM and the Selected Instances
    • Make sure you select the Instances you want to include by using the "Add"
  • Appliance (Including Instances) - Contains the SVM, Hypervisor and Selected Instances
    • Make sure you select the Instances you want to include by using the "Add"
  • XenServer - Contains the Hypervisor data
 
    1. Click OK
     
    1. You will see a dialog like the one below. This process may take several minutes depending on the environment and Instances selected

    1. Back at the Diagnostics > Technical Support, you will find your file for Download

    1. Proceed to upload it to https://cis.citrix.com for the Citrix Support Team subsequent analysis
