This article describes the steps required to allow the Citrix Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to autorecover the repository.


Instructions

From Windows Server 2008 R2 release, the Operating System WMI repository is capable of rebuilding itself. To configure the Citrix WMI autorecover functionality, the following steps are required to perform this action on the XenApp server:
Caution! Refer to the Disclaimer at the end of this article before using Registry Editor.

  1. Using Regedit, add #pragma recover to the mof file in the following location:
    C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\CITRIX\SYSTEM32\Citrix\WMI

  2. Add the path of the mof file under the registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WBEM\CIMOM\autorecover mofs

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
