Important Note(s)

  • This release is based on Version 7.1/7.5 of the VDA Core Services for Windows Desktop (64-bit). It patches only systems where Version 7.1/7.5 of the VDA Core Services for Windows Desktop (64-bit) is installed. Any known issues in Version 7.1/7.5 of the product, except for the specific issues resolved in this limited release, still apply.
  • You can upgrade the VDA from a console session or from an RDP session. Upgrading from within an ICA session is not supported.
  • Caution! This release may require you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

New Fixes in This Release

  1. When playing a video file in a VDA session with Receiver for Windows version 13.3 or 13.4, synchronization occurs between the audio and video in a custom application. However, when upgrading to a newer version of Receiver, Windows Media Redirection fails. After this occurs, users can hear audio only or can see video only.

To enable this fix, you must use Citrix Receiver for Windows 4.3.

    [From ICAWS750WX64032][#LC2516]

  2. Certain videos might not play in repeat mode in certain third-party multimedia players.

To enable the fix, set the following registry keys:

    • On 32-bit systems:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\HDXMediastream
      Name: SkipSeekingForFirstPlayback
      Type: DWORD
Value: Default value is zero. (to skip seek command when playback starting 1 is enabled and 0 is disabled)
    • On 64-bit systems:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\HDXMediastream
      Name: SkipSeekingForFirstPlayback
      Type: DWORD
Value: Default value is zero. (to skip seek command when playback starting 1 is enabled and 0 is disabled)
