1. When creating a new zone or moving a server to another zone, if "localhost "is used as the server name for discovery, the error "unhandled exception has occurred in your application" appears.

After deleting a user and user group from a load balancing policy, attempts to view the users of the load balancing policy after closing and then opening AppCenter again might result in the following error: "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component." 11. In farms consisting of more than two servers, an error can occur while attempting to publish an application using the application publishing wizard. The issue occurs when an administrator whose user profile does not contain a "Links" folder or does not have write permissions to the "Links" folder (for example, C:\Users\administrator\Links) is browsing for an executable to be published.

12. When publishing an application from a network share and using an IP address instead of the server name for the server, the following error message might appear:

13. This fix addresses the following issues with the Configuration Logging Database:

    1. When a worker group is created, server information is not added to the logs.
    2. When a server is added or removed from a worker group, that information is not added to the logs.
    3. When a OU is added or removed from a server group, that information is not added to the logs.

    To address this fix in its entirety, you must install both hotfixes XA650R01W2K8R2X64049 and DSCXAMx650W005 or their replacements.

18. On systems with #LA1873 (DSCXAMx650W003 or its replacement) installed, when publishing an application from a remote server, the location might fail to get converted into a local path.

    To disable this fix, set the following registry key:

19. Attempts to select certain icons as part of publishing an application in XenApp 6.5 can fail. Attempts to select the same icons when publishing the application in XenApp 5 succeed without issue.

20. Attempts to publish Oracle Primavera can fail and the console exits unexpectedly with the following error message:

    "System.IO.EndOfStreamException: Unable to read beyond the end of the stream."

    The issue occurs because the application stores its icon in the .exe file.

    Note: This fix does not correct existing published instances of Primavera. If you have published Primavera, remove it, install this fix, then republish the application.

24. Attempts to publish an application that contains unicode characters within the range of U+0000-U+0031 (including the unit separator (0x1F) in the application name or path name might fail. If this occurs, the Data Store database can become corrupt. The issue occurs because the XML parsing fails when the character is detected in the name.

25. Under rare conditions, the user name for a session can be blank that causes an XML exception in the AppCenter. This fix improves error handling so that the exception does not occur.

26. Discovery might fail intermittently from a published AppCenter with the following error message:

    "An unexpected error occurred. Check that the server name is correct, that the server is on, that Citrix XenApp installed on this server and that the Citrix MFCOM Service is running."

    Discovery can complete the process after two or three additional attempts.

Installing and Uninstalling this Release

Notes:

• This release is packaged as a .zip file containing the replacement XenAppMx.msi file. For more information about deploying msi files, see Microsoft article 884016 or visit the Microsoft Web site and search on keyword msiexec.
• Caution: Downgrades, also known as rollbacks, from this upgrade are not supported and might leave your systems in an unstable state. This upgrade does not patch the existing installation - it fully replaces it with a new installation. As a result, uninstalling this package removes the entire component from the computer. If the need arises to revert to an earlier version of the product, you must uninstall this package and then reinstall the earlier version of the product. Reverting to an earlier version of the product might result in the loss of settings you configure while this upgrade is installed.
• To install this package successfully, target computers must not have registry modification restrictions in place.
• This hotfix might or might not prompt you to restart the server when the installation or uninstallation is complete. You must restart the server for the installation to complete.
• If the need arises to restore the original settings and functionality provided by this hotfix, you must uninstall the hotfix before reinstalling it according to the installation instructions below.

To install this hotfix:

1. Copy the file to a shared folder on the network.
2. Extract the compressed file and save the XenAppMx.msi file on the computer you want to update.
3. Run the .msi file.
4. Restart the computer.

To uninstall this hotfix:

1. From the Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Highlight the hotfix you want to uninstall and click Remove.
4. Follow the directions on-screen.
