Prerequisites

RDSWatcher requires .NET Framework 3.5 or newer.

Installing RDSWatcher

This tool is a stand-alone executable program. It does not need to be installed.

How to Use RDSWatcher

Start the RDSWatcher and the monitoring/logging will initiate automatically.

The program will create a text log for all session activity on the system. This .txt file will be created on the root of the program’s executable and has a unique time-stamp. Each new instance of the program will create and update its own log file.

The upper panel shows a real-time monitor for all current RDS sessions in the system. The lower panel shows the log, as it is being written to the log file.

To start this program with a hidden GUI, use the -console command line switch. A message will be displayed in the console if the program successfully starts in hidden mode, and the user will not see the program’s graphical user interface.

Security Permissions Required by RDSWatcher

No specific permissions are required.

Data Modified by RDSWatcher

RDSWatcher creates a log file (.txt) in its root location.

This log file is time-stamped and each instance of the application creates a new log file. No other data is modified by RDS Watcher.

How to Undo the Changes Made by RDSWatcher

No changes are made by RDS Watcher in the system.

Uninstalling RDSWatcher

RDS Watcher is not installable, so there is no need to uninstall it post-use.

Simply delete the program from your hard-drive.
