New Fixes in This Release

  1. Policies can be lost. This happens when the policy file is corrupted and truncated as a result of high memory consumption by Delivery Services Console or PowerShell, which can occur when you modify policies in scenarios with a large number of configured policies.

To enable this fix, install both a Delivery Services Console hotfix (DSCXAMX600W011 or its replacement) and a Group Policy Management Console hotfix (DSCXAGPMx100WX86012; DSCXAGPMx100WX64012, or their replacements) that contains Fix #LA5385.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64012][#LA5385]

  2. Policies can be lost. This happens when the policy file is corrupted and truncated as a result of high memory consumption by the Group Policy Management Console and the Group Policy Editor, which can occur when you modify policies in scenarios with a large number of configured policies.

Fixes from Replaced Hotfixes

  1. When HDX MediaStream for Flash (client-side) is enabled, a Flash content URL received by the server might a) not be resolvable by the client device or b) be resolved to the wrong content server. To resolve this issue:

    • On XenApp 6 for Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 R2:
      1. Download and apply both an HDX MediaStream for Flash hotfix (HDXFlash110WX64006; HDXFlash110WX86006; and HDXFlash200WX64003, or later) and a Group Policy Management Console hotfix (DSCXAGPMx100WX64007; DSCXAGPMx100WX86007,  or later) that contains Fix #233134
      2. Load the included HdxFlash-Server.adm template and configure the client-side content fetching base URL rewriting rules as follows, using PERL regular expression syntax:
To rewrite http://www.content.corp.net/yyy.swf to http://corp.net/yyy.swf (or a similar URLs), use a rule such as:
        value name: http://(.*\.)(corp\.net.*)
        value: http://\2
    • On XenApp 6.5 for Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 R2:
There is no need to download and apply a Group Policy Management Console hotfix. After installing a HDX MediaStream for Flash hotfix that contains Fix #233134 (HDXFlash110WX64006; HDXFlash110WX86006; and HDXFlash200WX64003, or later), follow Step 2 outlined above.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64001][#233134]

  2. This enhancement reduces delays observed while editing printing policies and modifying their priorities.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64001][#236934]

  3. While creating session printer policies for certain types of printers, the following error message can appear: "An item with the same key has already been added."

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64001][#237952]

  4. This enhancement is a part of the XenApp Printing Optimizations. The Printing Optimizations improve the user experience and printing speed by reducing the printer bandwidth required. For more information, including system requirements, required components, and known issues, see Citrix Product Documentation.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64001][#238211]

  5. Attempts to add Windows policies to a GPO fail if Citrix policies are added to the GPO first. With this fix, policies can be added in any sequence.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64002][#252042]

  6. The console displays the Session Printer policy incorrectly if the name of a shared printer configured on the print server starts with 0 (zero).

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64003][#245718]

  7. Access control policy filters containing asterisk (*) wildcards for Access Gateway farm name and Access condition fail.

After applying this fix, edit or replace affected filters in order for the policy engine to refresh the data it has cached.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64003][#255020]

  8. New XenApp policies and changes to existing XenApp policies are not saved if policies are being created or modified from multiple consoles by different administrators at the same time.

With this fix, the latter console produces an error message when trying to save new or modified policies. To enable this fix in its entirety, you must also install a server hotfix that contains Fix #256226.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64004][#256226]

  9. In large farm environments, the Group Policy Modeling wizard can take an unexpectedly long time enumerating domain controllers and eventually become unresponsive.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64004][#259144]

  10. When the "Auto-create client printers" policy is enabled, the Citrix Group Policy Modeling wizard displays "Citrix.ICA.PrintingPolicies.AutoCreateClientPrinters" rather than "Auto-create client printers."

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64004][#LA0005]

  11. Configuring the printer policies might take up to eight minutes per policy change. As a result, the console might become unresponsive while changing the printer policy.

    To enable this fix:

    1. Install both a Delivery Services Console hotfix (DSCXAMX600W003 or its replacement) and a Group Policy Management Console hotfix (DSCXAGPMx100WX86005; DSCXAGPMx100WX64005, or their replacements) that contains Fix #257255.
    2. Migrate the old printer policies to the new printer assignment policy using a PowerShell script, available for download in Knowledge Center article CTX132168. However, some of the new printer policies might not require any action.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64005][#257255]

  12. The MMC can exit unexpectedly while adding a printing-related policy.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64005][#LA0670]

  13. Application enumeration fails for applications that use a 32-bit PNG icon for the application shortcut. To address this issue in its entirety, you must install both a XenApp and a Delivery Services Console hotfix that contains Fix #259922.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64007][#259922]

  14. Attempts to publish streamed applications can fail with just-in-time errors. The issue occurs with applications such as Corel PaintShop Pro that use fully transparent icons.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64007][#LA1468]

  15. This enhancement allows for the allocation of up to 128 MB of display memory. To enable this enhancement, you must install both a server and a Delivery Services Console hotfix that contains Fix #LA2030.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64008][#LA2030]

  16. Certain Windows Group Policy (GPO) settings might prevent the Group Policy Management Console from displaying Citrix policies. The issue occurs in the Group Policy Results reports.

In order to obtain the Group Policy Results report, you can use the CtxCseUtil.exe tool with the Resultant Set of Policies (RSoP) switch instead of using the Group Policy Management Console:

    Usage: CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop [/o(u|c)] [/u user] [/c ComputerName] [/f filename] [/q] [/dbg]

    • /rsop   Generate the RSOP Report for Citrix policies.
    • /o(u|c) Generate only the computer report or only the user report. By default, both are generated.
    • /u      Specify the target user. The default is the active user.
    • /c      Specify the target computer [IP Address/MachineName]. The default is the local computer.
    • /f      Specify a file name for the report. The default is CitrixRsopResult.html.
    • /q      Specify if you want to run in Quiet Mode. By default, Quiet Mode is off.
    • /dbg    Enable debugging output for the execution of the command.

return : ERRORLEVEL 0 if successful ; greater than 0 if an error occurred.

    Samples:
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /ou
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /u user1 /c remotecomputer1
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /u user1 /f Test1_user1_121024.html /q
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /ou /u user1
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /oc /c remotecomputer1
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /u user1 /c remotecomputer1 /dbg
    CtxCseUtil.exe /rsop /dbg

Note: You must run the tool with domain administrators' credentials.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64009][#LA1835]

  17. This fix addresses various issues with published icons.

    [From DSCXAGPMx100WX64011][#LA4276]

  18. With a high number of Citrix user policies already in place, the creation of each additional policy can take several minutes to be saved.

Note: To address this issue in its entirety, you must install both Hotfixes DSCXAMx600W010 and DSCXAGPMx100WX86011/DSCXAGPMx100WX64011 (or their replacement hotfixes).
