Description
Installation of a hotfix, XenApp repair, or hotfix uninstall fails with “Error: Installation ended prematurely because of an error.”
The following event might be logged in the Server Application Event Logs for a XenApp repair/uninstall “Event 1035, MsiInstaller: Windows Installer reconfigured the product. Product Name: Citrix XenApp <Version>. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Citrix Systems, Inc. Reconfiguration success or error status: 1603.
Resolution
Enable and start the COM+ System Application, Distributed Link Tracking Client, and Distributed Transaction Coordinator services. Retry the hotfix install/uninstall or XenApp repair.
Problem Cause
The COM+ System Application, Distributed Link Tracking Client, and Distributed Transaction Coordinator services are disabled or stopped.
