This article describes how to configure the file name extensions list in Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 request filtering for Director 7.
In a standard installation, IIS is configured by default to allow requests for files with any extension. Environments that require restricting IIS requests to a list of specific file extensions need the extensions used by Director to be able to set this list. A default IIS Request Filtering file extensions list is shown in the following screen shot:

To configure the file name extension list in IIS 7 request filtering for XenDesktop Director 7, complete the following procedure:
Open IIS Manager.
Under the IIS section in the Director application, open Request Filtering.
For each entry with an Allowed value of False, select the extension, click Remove under the Actions pane, and click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
For each extension in the Required Extensions list, click Allow File Name Extension under the Actions pane and enter the extension from the list.
Click Edit Feature Settings in the Action pane.
Clear Allow unlisted file name extensions and click OK.
