Description

A NetScaler appliance reports erroneous system health statistics in some NetScaler software versions.

The stat system detail command reports erroneous zero values for the following system health counters:

  • Intel CPU Vtt Power (Volts)

  • Voltage Sensor2 (Volts)

  • Temperature 0 (Celsius)

  • Temperature 1 (Celsius)

The stat system detail command does not report the “Number of CPUs” in some versions of NetScaler software.

The following is a sample stat system detail output with incorrect or missing entries:

Resolution

This is a known issue and the errors can be ignored. These values do not indicate any problem with the appliance.

To resolve the issue upgrade the LOM version on the NetScaler appliance to the latest LOM firmware. Refer to LOM Firmware Upgrade page to upgrade the LOM firmware based on the hardware version of the NetScaler appliance.

Problem Cause

The incorrect system health entries in the NetScaler appliances are because of the latest LOM firmware BMC 3.02. The missing system health entries in the NetScaler appliance are because of a reporting problem in the NetScaler firmware.
