Description

The tool offers a user friendly GUI to ease the configuration of StoreFront 2.x and 3.0 “Receiver for Web”.

NOTE: This tool is only designed to work with StoreFront 2.0, StoreFront 2.5, StoreFront 2.6 and StoreFront 3.0. Newer StoreFront releases are not supported.

Installing StoreFront Web GUI

Extract the contents of the zip file to a folder on a server or workstation running Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5 SP1. Local Administrator rights are required (if UAC is enabled, the tool will prompt for confirmation).

How To Use StoreFront Web GUI

Backup the web.config from your StoreFront server, located in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\storenameWeb\ folder.

Run the tool, the below interface will be shown

Click on Browse to open the web.config file

The tool will switch to the Server Settings tab and the Save button will appear.

The StoreFront version is shown in the GUI

Change the parameters within the different tabs exposed in the GUI and click on the “Save” button to validate the changes.

When clicking “Save”, a backup copy will be created (web.config.bak) at the target location. If the tool is launched from a StoreFront server, a replication process to the other StoreFront servers can be initiated.

Security Permissions Required by StoreFront Web GUI

Write permissions are required in the web.config target folder for the user running the tool

Data Modified by StoreFront Web GUI

The only modified data is the web.config file selected by the user

Uninstalling StoreFront Web GUI

Delete the folder where you unzipped the files.
