If Client Drive Mapping is configured for Server operating system and Desktop operating system, changes made to the existing files in applications might not be saved on the mapped drive and could show an error message.

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Resolution

As a workaround, on the Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) machine, change the following settings to disable Read and Write caching:

In the registry location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\picadm\Parameters, change the following settings:

  • EnableCcReadCache=0

  • EnableCcWriteCache=0

Note: Users can save the file as a new file to retain the changes in each file.
