Resolution

To resolve this issue, complete the following procedure and reset the password of the SVM to default nsroot:
  1.  Open a SSH session to the SVM by using any utility such as PuTTY or SecureCRT.

  2. Run the following commands to reset the password:
    cd /mpsconfig
    touch .recover
    /etc/rc.d/svmd restart

  3. Log on to the GUI with the default username and password.

  4. Change the password from the SVM GUI under System > Users > nsroot > modify.

  5. Log on to the SVM with the new password and verify the configuration and confirm if the new password is changed successfully.

Problem Cause

The issue occurred because the GUI could not communicate properly with the SVM by using the new password for nsroot.
