Description
The installation of a Hotfix or Hotfix Rollup is failed and rolls back to “Stopping Services”.
Event Log captures the following error:
“Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation.”Resolution
To resolve the issue, manually try to start the Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service.

If the service starts, install the hotfix again.

If the service does not start and the following error is displayed, refer to Microsoft support document for more information or contact Microsoft for help.
“Windows could not start the Distributed Transaction Coordinator on Local Computer…specific error code -1073737712”
