In Citrix Director 7.0, under the Session Details panel, the Citrix policies display the following information in the User Details page:

‘Cannot retrieve the data.’

To resolve the issue, complete the following steps:

1. Install the Citrix Group Policy Management on the Citrix Director server. The installer is located on the XenDesktop ISO at \x64\Citrix Policy directory.

2. After installing, restart IIS.

Problem Cause

Citrix Director was installed using the Microsoft Installer (MSI) and not through the XenDesktop installer included in the ISO. As part of Citrix Director Installation, using the XenDesktop installer, Citrix Group Policy Management is installed. When directly using the MSI to install Citrix Director, Citrix Group Policy Management is not installed automatically.
