Temporary Workaround

  1. Remove all network printers from client computer, excluding the locally connected printers and printers successfully connected to the Citrix session at that point.

  2. Reconnect the network printers one at a time, testing the Citrix connection for stability between each printer that is reconnected.
Note: Ensure the current share names are used while reconnecting.
When all the network printers are successfully reconnected (with current/correct share names), connection to the Citrix session (both as a published desktop and as a published application) is successful without further errors.

Problem Cause

Printers mapped to the client local system are no longer valid printers on the network. The printer was physically present, but the share name on it had changed. Therefore, the Printer Properties for these items on the local system received an error message stating the printer was unavailable and stating to check the connection.
