SNMP community string, SNMP user password, and system user password can include letters, numbers, and the following characters:

  • hyphen (-)
  • period (.)
  • pound (#)
  • space ( )
  • at sign (@)
  • equals (=)
  • colon (:)
  • underscore (_)

The maximum length of the community name can be 31 characters.

If you use a space, then the community name must be included in quotes, as shown in the following example:

add snmp community ":.##=@(()-): dfd" ALL
