This article contains information about the maximum or minimum value for the ns_max_mss of nsapimgr command.

Max Maximum Segment Size

Run the following command from the shell prompt of a NetScaler appliance to change the Max Maximum Segment Size of the appliance:

nsapimgr -ys ns_max_mss=<value> 

The value for ns_max_mss must be between the values 536 and 1460.

If you specify the value less than 536 or more than 1460 with nsapimgr -ys ns_max_mss, the appliance does not recognize the specified value.

Run the following command to confirm the Max Maximum Segment Size value recognized by the appliance:

nsapimgr -d allvariables | grep ns_max_mss

The following screen shot shows that the appliance did not recognize the specified value:
