This article describes how to configure local access using Citrix Receiver for HTML5 1.0.
Note: The steps in the article are intended for StoreFront 1.2. StoreFront 2.x and later do not require installing the HDX engine on the StoreFront Server.
Complete the following steps to configure local access:
Download and install Group Policy Updates on your XenApp 6.5 server.
Enable ICA WebSockets Connections Computer Policy on a Citrix XenApp 6.5 server in the farm.
Restart the XenApp 6.5 server.
Download and install the Receiver for HTML5 HDX Engine Setup on your StoreFront 1.2 server.
Add the Receiver for Web site URL in the Citrix HTML5 HDX Engine Configuration tool.
Refer to the following topics to assist in completing the preceding procedures:
Log on with your Citrix logon credentials and browse to Citrix Downloads.
Select XenApp from the Select a Product drop-down.
Select the release of XenApp 6.5 Feature Pack 1 as required under the Product Software category.
Select the preferred language under Custom Download to expand the list and under the Group Policy Updates section click Download.
Extract the downloaded GroupPolicyManagement1.7.zip file and run CitrixGroupPolicyManagement_x64.msi on your XenApp 6.5 server.
Open the AppCenter console and choose Policies. Verify if the Computer tab is selected and click Edit.
Click the Settings tab under ICA category. Click WebSockets > Add for WebSockets connections.
Select Allowed and click OK.
Browse to Citrix Downloads.
Select Citrix Receiver from the Select a Product drop-down.
Under the Receivers by Platform category, select Receiver for HTML5 1.0.
Click Download.
Run Citrix_HTML5_HDX_Engine_Setup.msi on your StoreFront 1.2 server.
Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, click Install > Finish.
Open the StoreFront console, select Receiver for Web, and copy the Website URL.
Open the Citrix HTML5 HDX Engine Configuration tool available at Start > All Programs > Citrix > Citrix HTML5 HDX Engine > Citrix HTML5 HDX Engine Configuration.
Click Add.
Paste the Receiver for Web site URL in the dialog box. Click OK.
