Where to Find Documentation

This document describes the issue(s) resolved by this release and includes installation instructions. For additional product information, see Citrix eDocs, the Citrix Product Documentation Library.

New Fixes in This Release

  1. This fix removes Help references to the deprecated Set-XAServerLoadEvaluator and Reset-XAServerLoadEvaluator cmdlets.

    [From DSCXACmd650WX64001][#LA0782]

  2. The Get-XASession PowerShell command, used without the -full argument, incorrectly returns a 32-bit color depth.

    [From DSCXACmd650WX64001][#LA1126]

  3. This release introduces a new Windows Store application called XenApp Manager. XenApp Manager is a lightweight XenApp 6.5 management app that allows XenApp administrators to monitor a XenApp 6.5 farm as well as to disconnect or reset active XenApp sessions. This release enables a new WCF endpoint in the Citrix XenApp Commands Remoting Service. XenApp Manager uses this new endpoint to communicate with the XenApp server using WCF. The new endpoint listens on the same TCP port, 2513, as the existing WCF endpoint.

To use this application, install this hotfix on at least one XenApp 6.5 server in the farm, and then configure XenApp Manager to communicate with this particular XenApp server.

The new endpoint is needed to overcome limitations in the WCF client framework available to Windows Store applications. A twin of the existing endpoint "net.tcp://{server}:2513/Citrix/XenAppCommands" but with the "Reliable Session" flag cleared, this endpoint listens at "net.tcp://{server}:2513/Citrix/XenAppCommandsAlt".
