Description
When configuring Desktop Deployment with an external SQL Server after installing XenDesktop, the following message is displayed:
“Database collation sequence must be case-insensitive, accent-sensitive and kanatype sensitive.”
Resolution
To resolve the issue, complete the following steps:

Access Database Properties in the SQL Server Management Studio Console.

Select Options.

Change Collation on the manually created XenDesktop database to Latin1_General_CI_AS_KS, as displayed in the following screen shot:
Problem Cause
The database was created manually on an external SQL server but the collation was not set correctly.
Issue/Introduction
