Description

After running the Imaging Wizard, when the PXE starts again, P2PVS displays the following error messages:

"Failed to discover 1 of 1 volume on the destination disk!"

Or

"Failed to discover 1 of 2 volume on the destination disk!"

Resolution

To resolve this issue, complete the following procedure:

  1. Start the target device to the local Hard Disk Drive (HDD).

  2. Open P2PVS.ini from the C:\Programfiles\Citrix\Provisioning Services folder.

  3. Add the [parameters] section before the [exclude] section, if it does not exist. 

  4. Add the following line under the [parameters] section:

    VolumeDiscoveryTimeoutAsSeconds=120

    Note: The default value is 30.

  1. Restart the target device to the local HDD and run the Imaging Wizard again.


Problem Cause

This error might occur because Windows takes longer than usual to enumerate the volumes after P2PVS mounts it's Virtual Hard Disk (VHD).
