Description

The Desktop Viewer Toolbar is not available when launching XenDesktop virtual desktops using the Receiver 3.1 and StoreFront Services.

Resolution

Complete the following steps to enable toolbar in the StoreFront Services store configuration:

  1. Logon to StoreFront Services server.

  2. Open C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\Store\web.config with Notepad.

  3. Change showDesktopViewer="True".

  4. Save the changes.

Note: The Desktop Viewer Toolbar is intended for use only with XenDesktop virtual desktops. In addition, the preceding procedure applies only to Receiver StoreFront. If you are using Web Interface, you must modify C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\<SITENAME>\conf\WebInterface.conf file.

Problem Cause

The Desktop Viewer Toolbar is not enabled by default in the StoreFront Services store.
