When using XenApp 6 for Windows 2008 R2, a published desktop in full screen mode on a client computer with multiple monitors fails to extend the Windows desktop to the second monitor.
Generally the published desktop appears on a primary monitor and can be interchanged to the secondary monitor. However, in this scenario the extend function does not work.
Ensure that the c:\inetpub\wwwroot\citrix\SiteName\conf\default.ica file does not contain the line ConnectionBar=0 or ConnectionBar=1
Ensure that the c:\inetpub\wwwroot\citrix\SiteName\conf\webinterface.conf file contains the line #ShowDesktopView=Off or ShowDesktopView=Off
This error may occur if the Citrix Desktop Viewer toolbar is enabled on the Web Interface site. The Citrix Desktop viewer toolbar is not recommended for use with XenApp published desktops as it causes numerous issues. The Citrix Desktop Viewer toolbar was designed specifically for use with XenDesktop only.
