Description

After XenApp 6.x farm for Windows Server 2008 R2 is created and configured, the following error message is displayed when starting applications from the Citrix XenApp website:
“An error occurred while making the requested connection”.
When the command QFARM /load is run on XenApp 6.x server indicates a server load of 10000.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, complete the following steps:

  1. Create a Worker Group in the Delivery Services or AppCenter console and publish an application to the Worker Group.

  1. Stop the IMA service on the XenApp server, if it is started.
This can be done using the command net stop imaservice or from Microsoft Services console.

  1. Restart the IMA service.
This can be done using the command net start imaservice or from Microsoft Services console.
The Server load server must be zero.

    Problem Cause

Worker Group is a regular IMA core subsystem. The server load is affected if the farm is set up without creating any Worker Groups.
