Requirements

  1. The Business Executive (BE) or Organization Administrator (OA) with "Not Restricted" contact access are the only contacts, within a partner account, who have authorization and visibility to this option in Partner Central.
  2. BE or OA username and password associated to partner account requiring updating.

Procedure

Change Distributor

  1. Sign in to Partner Central.
  2. To the right, under username and Organization ID, select Update Locations, Contacts & Memberships hyperlink.
  3. Select Locations then click Select Distributor.
  4. Select the Distributor Country from the drop-down option.
  5. Enter the name of the distributor and Search, if known, otherwise, select Search.
  6. Select from the choices displayed by clicking the radial box next to distributor of choice then click Save.
  7. Updates are effective immediately.
Note: If you do not see the Select Distributor option, your log in does not meet the requirements stated in the requirements section above. For more information refer to the section below titled Update Distributor Option not Visible.
 

Assign Distributor & Set View

Use this option to Assign View to more than one Distributor to view Partner's customers information. 
  1. Sign in to Partner Central.
  2. Hover over Licensing, Renewals, and Extensions at top of page and under Manage Customer Entitlementsselect Maintenance Renewals hyperlink.
  3. Select Manage My Customer’s Maintenance Programs (Renewals) hyperlink located at the bottom of page.
  4. Select Assign Distributor & Set View
  5. Select one of the options below:
  • Choose Customer(s) to Assign
  • Assign All My Customers
  • Assign Distributor Visibility
 

Update Distributor Option not Visible

  1. If you do not see Select Distributor, contact your Business Executive or Organization Administrator to make the requested update.
    • Note: If you are the BE or OA and the option is not visible, send an email to AmericasChannelOperations@citrix.com explaining the issue and request to get it updated manually. Otherwise, continue to step 2.
  2. To view the Business Executive or Organization Administrator for your location select Contacts from the Update, Locations, Contacts & Memberships page .
  3. In View contacts for, select the following from the drop-down boxes:
  • View contacts for: Current Location
  • Status: Current
  • Contact Type: Organization Administrator or Business Executive
  1. The BE or OA displays along with their email address.

Issue/Introduction

This article provides instructions on changing, assigning and setting visibility for the Preferred Distributor via Partner Central for the Latin America/Caribbean, Asia/Pacific, Europe/Middle East/Africa and Japan regions. This option is not applicable to North America and Canada as these two regions only use Ingram Micro.
