Issues and Workarounds

Issue

CCJK (Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) IMEs not enabled in connection from CCJK endpoints.

Workaround

In ICA sessions from CCJK endpoints to Windows 7 (or earlier)/ Windows Server 2008 R2 VDA hosts, users must manually add CCJK IMEs to input CCJK characters during the first logon.

Complete the following procedure to add CCJK IMEs in ICA sessions:
  1. Start ICA session.

  2. Click Settings of the language bar in the session.

  3. In the Settings tab for XP or General tab for Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows Server 2008 R2, select Add to add a CCJK IME according to the user's preference. Select OK.

  4. Change Default input language to the preferred keyboard layout. Select OK.

The IME is now added and users can input CCJK characters in the sessions.
