Background
After successfully installing Windows Server 2008 R2, the Enhanced Security Configuration for Internet Explorer is by default enabled. This can cause some issues with Remote user connected using RDP or ICA protocol. The user may see something similar to the following screen shot:

Instructions
Complete the following steps to disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration on a Windows Server 2008 R2 with XenApp 6:

In the TaskBar, click on the Server Manager icon or click Run and type ServerManager.msc.

Scroll down to the Security Information section.

Click Configure IE ESC-Icon as shown in the following screen shot:

A new dialog that allows to adjust the Configuration for Administrators and Users appears as shown in the following screen shot:

Click OK.

Click Run and type the following text:
“C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe” C:\Windows\system32\iesetup.dll,IEShowHardeningDialog

A new dialog that allows to adjust the Configuration for Administrators and Users appears as shown in the following screen shot:.

Click OK.
