Description

For a customer using Adobe Photoshop CS4 on the XenApp 6 servers, when opening Photoshop from within the 32-bit ICA session file, the image is tinted blue and then as you hover the mouse, it turns back to normal.

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Resolution

Add EnableOss=Off in the ICA file used to connect to the published application in the published application section of the ICA file.

Note: Value can be set on the client as well.

Workaround

Caution! Refer to the Disclaimer at the end of this article before using Registry Editor.

As a workaround on the client, set the following registry value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Lockdown Profiles\All Regions\Lockdown\Virtual Channels\Thinwire Graphics : EnableOSS to  false

This allows all ICA connections to use it as a default value.
